Risks controlled. Not just recorded.
A risk assessment sitting in a folder tells you the hazard was seen, once. It doesn’t tell you the control is in place, the team has read it, the corrective action closed, or the review is still current.
Obbi turns each assessment into a live, versioned document. Hazards are scored, controls become tracked actions, acknowledgement is recorded name-by-name, and the review cycle is managed for you. When the insurer, auditor or board asks how a risk is being managed, the answer is a name, a date and a signature. Not a search.
“Before Obbi, keeping track of risk assessments was a nightmare – buried in folders or scattered across emails. Now, everything is centralised, easy to manage, and instantly accessible when we need it.”
Structured assessments, scored and controlled
Every assessment starts the same way: identify the hazard, who it affects, and the consequences. Score it on a 5×5 likelihood and severity matrix with a colour-coded risk rating. Add control measures. Capture the residual risk so the assessment shows the effect of the controls, not just the presence of the hazard. Start from 100+ pre-built templates covering course maintenance, hospitality, equipment, guest activities and more, or build fully custom.
Controls become tracked work
A control measure shouldn’t be a sentence in a document. In Obbi, any control can be linked to an action, assigned to a team, and tracked to completion. When an auditor asks how a risk is being managed, you show the hazard, the control, the person accountable, and the date the action was signed off. Assessments drive real work instead of describing intentions.
Acknowledged, reviewed, versioned
On publishing, every member of the assigned team is asked to acknowledge, with a live percentage and a name-by-name breakdown you can export to Excel or PDF. Set a next-review date and Obbi tracks expiry, flagging the assessment before it lapses and again once it does. Published versions lock as an immutable record. Editing starts a new version. A clean audit trail, built by the system rather than by whoever last had the binder.
How Obbi helps
- Risks controlled, not just identified: Every control links to a tracked action, so the risk is being actively managed, not just documented in a form.
- Assessments that stay current: Automatic review reminders mean assessments are revisited on schedule. You are never relying on an out-of-date document if something happens.
- Clear Acknowledgement Tracking: “We told the team” becomes a recorded percentage and a name-by-name list. Provably, not anecdotally.
- Fast rollout across teams and sites: Clone a published assessment, with its hazards, controls and actions, to every team or site in minutes. Then tailor locally.
- Evidence ready when it’s needed: Monthly safety meetings, insurer reviews and auditor inspections stop being a scramble. Everything sits in one place, one click away.
- Connected, not standalone: Risk Assessments feed your Standards score, your Actions, and your Team Overview. One live picture across compliance, operations, safety and training, not four disconnected systems.
Members never touch your risk register, but they feel a club that runs safely, consistently, and to a standard it can prove. Obbi turns risk assessment from a document exercise into a live operating discipline.
